What is CBD?
Growing the perfect plant
Applecrest Hemp Collective products are produced by AI Grow, a company dedicated to improving grow conditions through automation and technology.

AI Grow decided to create the Applecrest Hemp Collective brand in homage to the company's headquarters located at Applecrest Orchards in Hugo, MN.
​Drawing on a diverse set of skills, AI Grow created a full scale prototype grow facility to test ideas and implement new technology. By growing hemp plants in this space, AI Grow can optimize every aspect of the environment for growing truly exceptional plants that have maximized their genetic potential.

Advancing on the technology front, AI Grow decided to integrate a supercritical CO2 based extraction unit into the dedicated laboratory, along with industry leading nanoemulsification equipment. This setup offers the cleanest, highest quality hemp extract currently available, with the ability to further process the extract into a water soluble solution for a variety of uses.

As plans are made to expand the prototype grow facility, Applecrest Hemp Collective will be able to offer a more diverse group of products with the same great quality and potency that our customers have come to rely on.

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non-psychotropic
cannabinoid compound found in the cannabis plant.
Cannabis is the only plant genus that contains the
unique class of molecular compounds called
cannabinoids.
​
THC is the other main cannabinoid compound found
in the cannabis plant, and when found in high
concentrations the plants are referred to as
marijuana. Cannabis plants that are low in THC but
high in CBD are called hemp.

Hemp plants are used to derive CBD products, and
therefore contain only trace amounts of THC, and
have no psychoactive effects.
CBD is known to have strong anti-oxidant, anti-
inflamatory, and neuro-protective properties. CBD
also directly activates serotonin receptors in the
brain, creating an anti-depressant effect.

Scientific and clinical studies have shown that CBD
could be therapeutic for many conditions including
chronic pain, anxiety, rheumatoid arthritis, PTSD,
sleep disorders, cardiovascular disease and other
neurological ailments.
